LEGO Minecraft Micro World

April 18, 2013
Well, I finally got around to putting my Lego Minecraft Micro World together, and snapped a few pics of the finished product. I also took video of the build, but haven't had a chance to take a look at it and edit it down into something worth watching.

The whole build took about an hour or so, but was very straightforward. Take a look!

LEGO my...Minecraft?

March 14, 2013
Lately I have been spending more of my free time with various random builds in my Minecraft server. I love Minecraft, as it feels like a huge version of LEGOs in a virtual environment and brings back childhood memories of crazy builds. (Plus a few nightmares of stepping on pieces with my bare feet.) The LEGO Minecraft kit has been available since June of 2012, but it sells out almost instantly whenever it is available. I couldn't even find one of the kits when I was at Legoland California in November of last year.

Well, I finally found the kit in-stock at J!nx a few weeks ago and needless to say I had one in the my online shopping cart in a heartbeat.

It arrived today.

I haven't had a chance to put it together yet, as I want to take my time and enjoy it instead of rushing through it. I plan on making a video of the process and will be sure to update here once it is done.

Check it out!

Eight Rivers

June 7, 2012
Spanish for "Eight Rivers", Ocho Rios, Jamaica is located on the North coast of Jamaica. A funny thing about the name is that there are not eight rivers in the area; it is believed that it is most likely a British corruption of the original Spanish name "Las Chorreras" ("the waterfalls"). You may recognize this name for a few reasons. For one, the famous Dunn's River Falls is located here and offers locals and tourists alike a chance to climb the nearly 600ft waterfall. Another reason you may recognize the name is because many of the 14 James Bond novels were written by Ian Flemming at his aptly named "Goldeneye" estate, just 10 miles East of Ocho Rios.

The main reason I wanted to bring up Ocho Rios is pretty simple.

We are headed there again and the plane leaves in less than 48 hours!

I'm just going to stop there and reserve the next few updates for trip details.
